This is a Japanese single malt from Suntory's Hakushu Distillery, a distillery set in a forest. It is the 2026 Story of the Distillery release, a limited edition bottled at 43% ABV in a 700ml bottle.
The release celebrates the distillery's mountain heritage and its woodland sanctuary setting.
It is described as smoky yet refined, with delicate fruit, some sweetness and a subtle bitterness.
