This is a small batch straight bourbon from Hard Truth Distilling Co., made in Brown County, Indiana. It follows the sweet mash method, using fresh mash for each batch rather than reusing sour mash backset. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 93 proof in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is warm, with caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, brown sugar and soft baking spice. The palate is smooth and rounded, with toffee, vanilla cream, oak and light cinnamon. The finish is medium-long and warming, with caramel, oak, spice and a touch of toasted grain.
