Hazelburn – 8 Year Old 2015 Fresh Bourbon Cask Cage Bottle (70cl, 58.8%)

An 8 year old Campbeltown single malt from Hazelburn, the triple-distilled, unpeated malt made at Springbank distillery. It was matured in a fresh bourbon cask and bottled by J & A Mitchell & Co at 58.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. Hazelburn is distilled three times from unpeated, air-dried malt. It is non-chill-filtered and uncoloured, as J & A Mitchell bottlings are. The spirit is described as retaining the new make character of Springbank. The Hazelburn name comes from a former Campbeltown distillery that ran from the early 18th century until 1925.
