Hazelburn – CV 2010 (70cl, 46%)

Hazelburn CV is a single malt from the Hazelburn spirit made at Springbank in Campbeltown. This bottling was put together in 2010 under production director Frank McHardy, from casks of different ages filled since distilling began in 1997. The casks were a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry. Hazelburn is triple distilled and unpeated, and the 46% ABV bottling is a limited release. The nose is sweet with grassy notes. The palate combines sweet vanilla with malted grain, honey and flowers, fresh and full-bodied with a creamy texture. The finish is medium to long, warm and sweet.
