Heaven Hill 9 Year Old Double Mash is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled in bond at 100 proof (50% ABV) in a 750ml bottle.
It is a limited release that brings together Heaven Hill's wheated and traditional bourbon mash bills in one bottle. Nine years in oak is well beyond the four years in a federally bonded warehouse that the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 requires.
The nose offers toasted oak, honey, vanilla, white pepper, caramel and citrus peel. On the palate come honey, citrus oil, caramel, soft wheat sweetness, gentle spice and toasted grain. The finish is balanced and warming, with caramel, baking spice, oak and citrus.
