This is the second release of Henstone Ex-Peated, a single malt from the Shropshire distillery, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent three years in ex-Jim Beam bourbon casks, then moved to a 125 litre ex-peated Islay quarter cask for just under a year of finishing.
The finish has given it the peaty character associated with Islay whisky, without overpowering the spirit. It is bottled at 46%, has not been chill filtered or coloured, and the batch numbers 107 bottles.
