A limited edition Japanese blended whisky from the House of Suntory, released in May 2022 and bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It carries no age statement.
It builds on the core Hibiki Harmony blend of malt and grain whiskies from the Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita distilleries, adding whisky finished in sakura casks, made from Japanese cherry blossom wood. This was a first for Suntory.
The nose is honeyed and floral, with cocoa nibs, sakura wood and berries. The palate has plums, tropical fruit, toasted oak and salt-pickled cherry blossom, and the finish brings brown sugar and green banana.
Tasting Notes
Delicate honeyed florals, cocoa nibs, fragrant sakura wood and juicy berries
Aromatic plums and tropical fruit, warm toasted oak, savoury-sweet salt-pickled cherry blossom
Brown sugar with a freshness of green banana
