High Coast Berg is a Swedish single malt whisky at 50% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is made at the High Coast Distillery in Bjärtrå, Ångermanland, from unpeated spirit.
Berg is the distillery's sherry-matured core expression, with the whisky matured in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The name is Swedish for mountain or rock.
The nose has sultanas, gooseberry, honey and dark chocolate, with raisins and malt. The palate is fruity and honeyed, with rich dates and balanced sweetness, and the finish is long and oaty, with a spicy aftertaste.
