High Coast Dalvve The Signature Malt (75cl, 46%)

High Coast Dalvve The Signature Malt is a Swedish single malt from High Coast Distillery at Bjärtrå, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky is matured for just over five years on average in first-fill bourbon barrels. It is medium-smoky, with about a quarter of the blend made from peated malt. Dalvve means winter in Southern Sami, and this was the distillery's first permanent release, launched in November 2016. The nose brings pine, coconut, a hint of leather and peat. The palate is sweet and full-bodied, with vanilla and fudge. The finish carries liquorice and vanilla, with a smoky tail.
