High Coast Hav Swedish Single Malt Whisky (75cl, 48%)

High Coast Hav is a Swedish single malt from the High Coast Distillery in Bjärtrå, bottled at 48% in a 75cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's Origins series, and its name is the Swedish word for sea, a nod to the place where the Ångermanälven river meets the water. This is the oak-led member of the series, lightly peated and matured in virgin Hungarian and Swedish oak alongside first-fill bourbon wood. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The distillery's own notes describe a fruity, spicy nose with clove and light peat smoke, a balanced palate of spicy oak and smoke, and a finish of oak, clove and vanilla.
