High Commissioner is a blended Scotch whisky made at the Loch Lomond distillery, which opened in 1966. This 1990s bottling is at 40% in a one litre bottle. The blend was produced entirely at the distillery and was well established by the 1970s, when it was sold as a no-age-statement whisky and as a five-year-old across the A. Bulloch & Co shops in Scotland. It has found a following in the UK, Burma and Oman. It is described as softly fruity, with a touch of caramel and a whisper of peat.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
