Highland Black 8 Year Old Special Reserve Silver is an eight year old blended whisky with a smooth, mellow character.
Honey, toffee and vanilla cream lead the nose, with subtle peanut butter, floral hints and a faint wisp of smoke. The palate is malty and well balanced, with crushed biscuits, caramel, ginger and honey, and some tasters pick out green plum and gooseberry. The finish is grainy and fruity, with lingering vanilla, green apple skin and a touch of pepper. It is clean, slightly dry and warming.
