This is an 11 year old Highland Park, distilled in 1985 and bottled in 1997 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It comes from a single bourbon cask, with the Society's code 4.48 and the name Exotic Evening Perfume. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and the cask gave 251 bottles.
The Society was founded in Edinburgh in 1983 by Phillip 'Pip' Hills, who had come to admire whiskies drawn straight from the cask while travelling around Scotland in the 1970s. Its codes begin with a number for the distillery, followed by one for the cask.
