This is a Highland Park island single malt, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Connoisseurs Choice series. It was distilled in 1987 and matured for 35 years in a single refill bourbon barrel, then bottled in January 2023 at natural cask strength. Just 131 bottles were released.
Highland Park is known for a balance of gentle peat smoke and honeyed sweetness, and the refill bourbon cask is described as adding fruit, vanilla and subtle spice.
