HJ Notaris 3 Year Old Genever is a Dutch genever distilled by Herman Jansen in Schiedam, where the family has been distilling since 1777. It carries the Schiedam seal.
The spirit is made entirely from malt spirit, from malted barley, corn and rye, and is aged for a minimum of three years in oak. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The nose is malty and rounded with juniper in the background. On the palate come oak, vanilla and a cereal sweetness, followed by a soft, warming finish.
