House of Lords De Luxe is a blended whisky from William Whiteley & Co., at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. A light sherry cask influence sits alongside the grain and malt.
The nose opens sweet and malty, with shortbread, toffee, vanilla, cooked pear and citrus zest, plus a little nut and spice. On the palate it is light to medium in body and silky, with honey, vanilla, toffee and fresh fruit. The grain keeps it clean, while the malt adds soft oak, cinnamon and ginger.
The finish is medium in length and smooth, balancing malt sweetness, fruit and a touch of dry wood.
