Hebridean Journey is a blended malt from Hunter Laing's Journey Series, a collection that represents the different whisky-producing regions of Scotland. It brings together single malts from distilleries in the Hebrides off the west coast, bottled at 46% ABV as a small batch in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matures in second-fill ex-Bourbon casks and small Oloroso sherry casks. It is made entirely from malt whisky, with no grain whisky.
The nose is fresh and coastal, with sea breeze, brine, citrus, ripe apple, malted barley and a little peat smoke. The palate is lightly salty, with apple, malt and citrus, and the finish is long and warm, with peat smoke, sea salt, spice and fruit.
