This is a 14-year-old Speyside single malt from Braeval, bottled by Hunter Laing in its Old Malt Cask range at 50% ABV. It was distilled in 2009 and matured in a single refill sherry butt.
It is a limited release of 577 bottles, bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.
The nose offers salted caramel, fresh citrus and soft hay. On the palate there is creamy vanilla sponge, nutmeg and sweet sultanas, leading to a long, gently savoury finish with lingering fruit and delicate spice.
