Scarabus is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is bold about its Islay origins and reserved about much else. The nose is Islay peat smoke and sea salt. On the palate come warming leather, stewed rhubarb and a sweet vanilla note, leading to a rich, lingering finish.
