Uva Flava Byzantium is a dry Albana di Romagna from I Sabbioni, an estate whose history is closely tied to Sangiovese. This is the 2020 vintage, made from 100% Albana at 12.5% vol.
The grapes are usually picked in the first ten days of September and fermented in steel without their skins. The wine then rests on fine lees in steel for 8 months.
It is a lively straw yellow with golden reflections. Floral and fruity aromas lead, with yellow-fleshed fruit, and the palate is fresh and persistent, with a touch of salinity and an elegant tannic texture.
