This is a 6 year old single malt from the Chichibu distillery in Saitama, released under the Ichiro's Malt name. It was distilled in 2012 and matured in a single second fill bourbon barrel before being bottled in 2019. The bourbon cask brings sweet and fruity notes, which sit alongside the character of the Chichibu spirit. The distillery was founded by Ichiro Akuto, whose family has made alcoholic drinks since the 1600s and whose father ran the Hanyu distillery.
