This is Ichiro's Malt & Grain, a world blended whisky put together by Ichiro Akuto in Chichibu, Japan. It is bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. It blends malt and grain whiskies from other countries with Chichibu's own malts, so Japan is where it is composed rather than the origin of every whisky in it. The nose is typically described as peach, apricot and banana with citrus peel, malt, caramel and vanilla crème brûlée. The palate has grain and barley malt, toffee and honey, with gingerbread, black pepper, nutmeg, saffron, pipe tobacco, hay and tropical fruit. The finish is fine and balanced, with vanilla and tropical fruit.
