This is an 11-year-old Inchgower from Speyside, released by WHISKYMAX as Batch Seven of Idols of Scotland, the Flora McDonald edition. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2020, it was finished in Calvados and bottled at 46.5% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour, in an outturn of 360 bottles. Its colour is light gold. The nose has robust grain, crisp apples and their skins, a marked spice note and a touch of dry oak. The palate brings green apples, a balance of tart and sweet with malt, a hint of spice and fresh ginger. The finish is medium to long and very grainy, with aromatic oak and a trace of cinnamon.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
