InchDairnie – 'RyeLaw' (70cl, 46.3%)

RyeLaw is a single grain Scotch whisky from the InchDairnie Distillery in the Kingdom of Fife, made with a high proportion of rye. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 700ml bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The rye is handled with a hammer mill and a mash filter, then distilled in a bespoke Lomond Hill still. The whisky has a deep golden amber colour. The nose is aromatic, with clove and nutmeg, vanilla fudge, toasted brown bread and cedarwood. The palate is oily and mouth-coating, with peppery rye, golden syrup, blackcurrant, cereal, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. The finish is long and warming, with toasted rye grain and a touch of savoury umami.
