Inchgower – 14 Year Old Cadenhead's Original Collection (70cl, 46%)

This is a 14 year old Inchgower, a Speyside single malt bottled by Wm Cadenhead Ltd in its Original Collection. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in May 2024 at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in refill Pedro Ximénez casks. In 2022 it was re-racked into refill PX casks that had previously held Springbank whisky, which gives the light peat note on the palate. The nose is condensed milk, melted toffee and stewed raisins, with an old greenhouse and almond butter, and light peat appearing with time. On the palate come salted caramel, wine gums and brine, and the finish is cola syrup and honey roasted cashews.
