Inchgower – 5 Year Old Claxton's Warehouse No. 8 (70cl, 56.6%)

This is a five-year-old Inchgower single malt from Speyside, bottled independently by Claxton's in a 70cl bottle at 56.6% ABV. Claxton's is a family company that began releasing whisky from its own casks in 2015. Its approach puts the balance between cask influence and spirit quality first. The bouquet is of ginger and brandy snaps. The palate brings digestive biscuits and beeswax, leading to a tangy, citrus and saline finish with a coastal feel.
