Inchgower – 8 Year Old 2008 Hepburn's Choice (46%)

This is an 8 year old Inchgower single malt, distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2016 in the Hepburn's Choice series. It comes from a small outturn of 663 bottles, finished in an Oloroso sherry cask, and is bottled at 46% without artificial colour or chill-filtration. The series is named after William Hepburn, the late grandfather of the bottler's director, who travelled widely in diplomatic service. The nose offers summer berries, mushrooms and buttery biscuits. On the palate are brown sugar, strawberry jam and cinnamon sticks, with green berries, vanilla and fresh mint. The finish brings juicy pears and honey alongside malt.
