This is a single malt from Inchgower in Speyside, bottled by Blackadder as Raw Cask Statement Edition No. 12 to mark the company's 20th anniversary.
The whisky was distilled in July 1995 and spent 20 years in a single sherry butt before bottling in September 2015. It came out at a cask strength of 57.6%, without chill filtration or added colouring, and 582 bottles were filled. The Raw Cask series tends to show some natural cask sediment.
The sherry maturation is said to add an old-fashioned depth to Inchgower's salty, maritime character.
