This is a 12 year old Inchmurrin from Loch Lomond, put together by Decadent Drinks as a small multi-vintage batch. It marries two second fill bourbon barrels dating from 2012 with a first fill sherry hogshead from 2013, and was bottled at 53% ABV in a run of 234 bottles.
The nose offers dried exotic and dark fruits, heather honey, old coins, mineral oil, sheep wool and fruit salad juice. On the palate come wax, olive oil, putty, camphor, buttered toast, sweet cereal and spiced winter ales. The finish is long, tropical and increasingly rich and oily.
