Inchmurrin 12 Years is a Highland single malt from the Loch Lomond distillery, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is part of the distillery's standard range.
Three types of cask are used for the maturation: new bourbon, refill and recharred. The Master Distiller, Michael Henry, brings the different components together.
The nose is fruity, with pear drops, toffee sweetness and a light note of freshly cut hay. On the palate Seville orange grows stronger before moving to peach and apricot, then creamy caramel and vanilla. The finish is of medium length and peppery.
