This is a nine-year-old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, bottled by Hart Brothers from a single port pipe. It was distilled in January 2014 and bottled in January 2023 at 46%, without added colouring and without chill-filtration. The port pipe adds dark berries and a winey, spicy side to the fruity base of the spirit. Blackcurrant, banana, blackberry and blueberry lead, with oak, clove and a light sherry bitterness for contrast. The nose combines red and orchard fruit with oak, port notes and clear blackcurrant, with lychee and cranberry in support. The palate is creamy, full and round, with ripe banana, clove and berries. The finish is long, with sweet spices and lingering berry fruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
