Inchmurrin (Loch Lomond) 10 Year Old - Whisky Heroes: In the Deep - 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel #69

This is a 10-year-old Inchmurrin from the Loch Lomond distillery, bottled by Brave New Spirits as a single cask for the Whisky Heroes: In the Deep series. It matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel, number 69, and filled 215 bottles. It is unfiltered and has no added colouring. The nose combines fresh pastry, bourbon vanilla and a little coconut, with soft almond. On the palate there is ripe banana and buttery shortbread, then sweet raisins, roasted almonds and a slightly spicy liquorice note. The finish is long, with pastry and fruit fading slowly.
