Indigo's Hour is an 18 year old Indiana straight bourbon from the Orphan Barrel collection, bottled at 45% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the collection's inaugural straight bourbon.
The mashbill is 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malt, and the whiskey aged in charred white oak barrels. It was distilled in Indiana, aged in Louisville, Kentucky, and bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee, and the label draws on the landscapes and wildlife of those states.
The nose is creamy vanilla, toasted oak, baking spices and red fruit. The palate shows caramel, honey, rich vanilla and spice, leading to a velvety finish with a touch of oak.
