Indri Agneya is an Indian single malt bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle, with no age statement. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.
It is distilled and bottled by Piccadily Agro Industries at the Indri distillery in Haryana, built in 2010. The whisky is matured in American ex-bourbon casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The name is Sanskrit for 'born from fire', a reference to the gentle peat smoke in the spirit.
Tasting notes mention dried figs, vanilla, toffee and chocolate on the nose, then mango, banana, honey and toasted oak on the palate, and a long finish of sweet fruit, soft peat smoke and a little salt.
