Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon finish
This is a 16 year old peated single malt from Loch Lomond, released under the Croftengea name, which the distillery uses for its peated expressions. It was finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon and bottled independently by Alistair Walker as part of the Infrequent Flyers series, with 605 bottles from the cask. The nose brings muscovado sugar, festive spice and medicinal iodine. On the palate there is cooked fruit, dried figs and raisins, molasses and cocoa, with gentle peat throughout. The finish is long, with peat smoke, sherry sweetness, light pepper and a salty edge.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
