Islay Mist Blended Scotch Whisky (1L, 40%)

Islay Mist is a blended Scotch whisky with a substantial share of Laphroaig, which gives it a firm presence of peat and a clear Islay character. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a one-litre bottle. It was first created in 1928 for the birthday party of the son of Lord Margadale, the Laird of Islay House. Laphroaig was thought too strong on its own, so it was blended with other high-quality malts from the Highlands, including Glenlivet. The colour is a deep golden amber. The nose is subtle and balanced, with well-integrated peat smoke and a salty touch. The palate has soft peat with sweet, salty and toasted notes, plus vanilla, coffee and caramel, ending in a medium finish.
