Isle of Fionia Skumring Vintage 2017 Single Malt Danish Whisky (70cl, 56.3%)

Skumring Vintage 2017 is a single cask Danish single malt from Nyborg Destilleri on Funen, released under the Isle of Fionia name. It is organic, was matured in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt and is bottled at 56.3% in a 70cl bottle, with 638 bottles filled. Nyborg has made whisky since 2009, but 2017 was the first year in which all of its spirit was distilled and matured in its own buildings in Nyborg, and this bottling dates from that time. The nose offers dried fruit, vanilla, caramel and dry Oloroso. On the palate and in the finish come caramel, clove, tobacco and leather.
