Isle of Jura 10 Year Old is a single malt from the only distillery on the island of Jura, just north of Islay in the Inner Hebrides. The distillery was founded in 1962 and is now owned by Whyte and Mackay.
Unlike many of its Islay neighbours, it makes a subtle, unpeated single malt.
The nose combines honeyed barley and peaches in syrup with light wafts of fragrant wood smoke. The palate is oily and subtly spicy at first, then earthy vanilla pod and chocolate-covered raisins develop.
