This is an Isle of Jura single malt from the Old Malt Cask range, bottled by Hunter Laing at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It carries a 2008 vintage. Whisky is said to have been illicitly distilled on Jura as early as 1502. The distillery in its present form dates from 1963, when it was rebuilt on its current site. Its water comes from Bhaile Mhargaidh. The name Jura is translated as "island of deer".

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
