J&B Rare is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from more than 40 malt and grain whiskies, with Speyside whiskies prominent in the blend.
The nose is fresh and light, with citrus, pear and green apple over a soft background of vanilla and malt. On the palate it is soft and balanced, with fresh fruit, light caramel, honey and a faint touch of wood. The finish is medium, clean and refreshing, with lingering fruit and a little sweetness.
