Jack Daniel's Bonded Rye is a Tennessee whiskey from the Bottled in Bond series, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof). It was distilled in a single season and aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse.
The grain bill is rye-forward, and the whiskey is mellowed through charcoal in the usual Jack Daniel's manner. The result is spicier and more robust than Old No 7.
The nose offers baking spice, caramel, toasted oak and a little pepper. On the palate there is bold rye spice, vanilla, brown sugar and warm oak, leading to a long, warming finish with lingering spice.
