Jack Daniel's – Bonded (70cl, 50%)

This is a Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, bottled at 100 proof (50%) in a 70cl bottle. It was first released for the travel retail market and follows the rules of the Bottled in Bond Act, passed in 1897. The higher strength is said to bring forward the bright fruit and oak spice. On the nose it is described as cooked fruit dusted with cinnamon, with toasted brown sugar and almond. The palate brings green apple and fried banana alongside maple syrup and a punchy black pepper, and the finish is oak and toffee.
