Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey from the Lynchburg distillery, a smoother take on Jack Daniel's Old No. 7. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is mellowed through sugar maple charcoal twice, once before ageing and again before bottling.
The nose is spicy, with caramel, charred oak and a touch of aniseed. Liquorice leads the palate, joined by oak, cinnamon and a hint of banana, and the finish is roasty with plenty of spice and a lift of citrus.
