Jack Daniel's – Gentleman Jack Tennessee Whiskey (37.5cl, 45%)

Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, bottled at 45% in a 37.5cl bottle. It is a step up from the standard Jack Daniel's, and what sets it apart is a double mellowing: the spirit is filtered through charcoal before it goes into the barrel, as in the Lincoln County Process, and then again before bottling. The nose is spicy, with caramel, charred oak and a little aniseed. The palate leads with liquorice, alongside oak, cinnamon and a touch of banana. The finish is roasted and toasty, with plenty of spice and some citrus.
