Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, in a 1.75-litre bottle at 45% ABV. It is given a double mellowing: filtered through charcoal before it goes into the barrel, as in the Lincoln County Process, and again before bottling.
The nose is spicy, with caramel, charred oak and a little aniseed. Liquorice leads the palate, alongside oak, cinnamon and a touch of banana. The finish is roasted and toasty, with plenty of spice and citrus.
