Gentleman Jack is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel's Distillery, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It has a bright chestnut-honey colour.
The nose is not sharp: brown sugar sweetness comes with a good measure of smoke and toasted notes. The palate starts dry, then turns warm and smooth with syrupy flavours, some peppery spice and hints of liquorice. The finish is persistent, with citrus and cinnamon, and a dry aftertaste of caramelised sugar.
