Jack Daniel's – Mr. Jack Daniel's 150th Birthday (1L, 43%)

This is a commemorative Tennessee whiskey from Jack Daniel's, released in 2000 to mark 150 years since the birth of Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel, who founded the distillery. It comes in a one-litre bottle at 43% ABV. The whiskey is filtered through maple charcoal, as is the distillery's way. The nose is soft and expressive, with vanilla, caramel, corn and oak, plus light fruit and spice. On the palate it is round and warm, with caramel, vanilla and toasted oak. The finish is soft, woody and lingering.
