Jack Daniel's – Rye Tennessee Whiskey (70cl, 45%)

Jack Daniel's Rye is a Tennessee whiskey, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The mash is 70% rye, with the remaining 30% made up of corn and malted barley. It matures for at least four years in white oak casks and is filtered through charcoal made from sugar maple. The rye gives a lightly spicy character, while roasted nuts add sweetness. The colour is amber. Bread and sweet pastry with a little cinnamon come through on the nose. The palate is spicy, with mint, lemon balm, roasted nuts and a touch of oak. The finish is long, spicy and herbal.
