Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey is made in Lynchburg, Tennessee, at what is described as the oldest distillery in America, using the same process since 1866. It is a Tennessee whiskey, not a bourbon, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
Sugar maple wood is burned to charcoal in open ricks, then ground and placed in a vat. The fresh spirit is dripped through it before being filled into charred white oak barrels, where several years of maturation begin.
