Jameson 18 Year Old is an Irish whiskey bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is a marriage of casks chosen by hand by the master whiskey maker. The freshly distilled spirit goes into casks that held bourbon and oloroso sherry and stays there for at least 18 years, then moves into first-fill bourbon casks for its final flavours.
The taste is soft and complex, with spiciness from the wood, and it ends in an aftertaste that recalls buttery caramel.
